Volunteer now to bring financial literacy education to Ohio’s high schoolsThe Ohio Society of CPAs and Junior Achievement (JA) partnership is now underway! OSCPA members are currently teaching the JA Personal Finance Program to high school students statewide. A big thank you to all volunteers promoting financial literacy education to Ohio’s youth!
Volunteer now
This new partnership is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to make a difference in the financial future of Ohio’s youth. Online training will be provided to all volunteers. You can be matched with a high school – or select the high school you wish to visit.
- Complete the volunteer sign-up form
- View a one hour Web-based training video
- Request the volunteer instruction manual and course materials for facilitating the program from your local JA office
- Your local JA office will match you with a school in your area that has signed up for the program and contact you with complete details
Lead the program in your assigned classroom!
Once you have completed the training and requested your classroom materials, your local JA office will connect you with an educator at a local high school that has signed up for the program. Together, you and the teacher will determine the schedule for presenting the program between September and December 2011.
The Ohio CPA Foundation is delighted to be collaborating with Junior Achievement to facilitate the High School Personal Finance Program and is pleased to provide another avenue for OSCPA members to strengthen their communities. Help meet the increasing demand for high school financial literacy education by volunteering today!
